This place seemed like a cool place to take my 3 year old because of the car tables. We were going to go to the Ocean Deck but it was a 40 minute wait. We had walked past it, but didn't looked like a place you should take children but I looked in and seen the cars and there was children in the place. So we walked in, hostess was half way nice. She told us there was none of the car tables open and that she had to sit us in the back. Well she went to set up the table, while she was doing that a car table was being cleaned off. When she came back I asked if she could just sit us there, that's when it started. She got a big attitude, went and got the menus , threw them on the table. AND DIDN'T EVEN TELL US TO GO TO THE TABLE. We had to walk to the table without her even letting us know if it was ready or not. Our waitress seemed nice until she talked to the hostess, then she became rude, rolling eyes and snatching menus from our hands. We waited an HOUR to get our food. My sister got the nachos which were super cold, so cold the cheese was curdling, the kidney beans were wrinkled. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and the chicken taste like it came out of a can and was very bland. My bf got the hot wings and they were burnt then drenched in sauce, yet still could taste the burnt crisp on the wings. I took 2 bites out of the wrap the waitress asked if I wanted a to go box, but I declined. She didn't even bother to ask if something was wrong or anything. I'm not one to complain but I feel as if I did, it wouldn't even have mattered. This place doesn't even deserve one star! It would have a ton of potential if someone who cared owned it, the race car booths were awesome, and the memorabilia everywhere was cool. The feeling of the place was awful, the food was awful, the staff was awful. This was our last night in Daytona and this place ruined it. For the hope of the place, someone needs to take over.

This is the most unsanitary dining establishment I have ever been in. Absolutely filthy. Do Not Eat Here!!!!!! We were in here once having a few drinks and my friend saw a rat the size of a large cat - I am dead serious!!!! He pointed it out to the bartender who was alarmed at all - as if it belonged there. Anyway the manager came over and over my friends tab - yuck.

This is a great little bar right on the main strip in Daytona Beach. It has a racing theme that goes great for the town that it is located in. It could use some updating but i liked the overall theme and set up. The atmosphere and friendly staff definitely made up for any deficiencies that it may have. The patrons were exceptionally friendly also. I cannot comment on the food as i was only there to drink. I definitely enjoyed myself and went back the next while i was in town. I would go again and would recommend it. I must say that my judgment might be a little skewed by the number of drinks that i had and the hot bartender that i met there.

I am a professional chef and food writer from Washington, DC. Let me tell you about Cruisin Cafe in Daytona Beach last week during my vacation... You will notice that the interior of crusin cafe feels like it had its heyday when super mario and duck hunt were popular on the regular nintendo. I do not think anything inside has changed, save the employees. Feels grungy and outdated. The whole dining in a car theme is how they even drew me in to eat. You are barely inside a car, trust me. It is a booth. I got a menu that smelled of mildew because the servers wipe down the menus and close them before they are dry. Gross and Sticky. Makes me really hungry.... I ordered a rueben and my wife ordered a wedge salad. My rueben meat tasted as if it sat in the bin on the kitchen line for four days before served. Her wedge salad had many areas that were yellow and dried out, not green. Bacon bits were obviously cooked last week, as bringing to room temperature and refrigerating over and over produces such a repulsive and chewy flavor. The bathroom for men smelled of fermenting piss and potential puke from the evening before. Plus a couple flies. The servers did not bother to ask me how my food was because....well....they know where they work....might as well not even ask if every is ok. Much rather stand back and cross their fingers that there are no complaints. Cruisin Cafe sells old food until it is sold. It sits and sits and sits. To eat at Cruisn Cafe is equal to eating at 7-11, likely worse. I would rather have a taquito. You have come to a low standard and low point in life to dine here. Oh God, I guess I did... The owner should be 100 percent ashamed of himself for selling this to the public. Even his employees do not believe in the product. They do not even ask you if everything is ok and if everything is good. And when employees do not believe in what they sell, then everyone gives up altogether. He should not milk the fact that this place sells food. I hope everyone reads this article and understands that Crusin Cafe should not exist at a quality level that is so sub par. If crusin cafe became a hurricane shelter where two hundred people had to gather for safety, I would not be surprised if CNN reported that everyone packed inside died of sickness or starvation. I would simply say mention how everyone should have known when they saw the one star rating on yelp.

Me and a friend came in and sat at one of the tables shaped like a race car when the place was less than half full. A waitress came and said we had to sit in the back of the restaurant at a table along a wall. We are black. We left without eating.

Poor service. Took forever to get our food and we were only five of two other people there. Came for a late lunch around 2:00 on a Monday. I had a burger and hubby had the steak sandwich. Food was mediocre at best. Server kept getting drink order wrong. Prices were expensive. We won't be going back.

My friend and I came here last night because we saw it was pretty packed. When we arrived we noticed that it was filled with a bunch of college kids completely plastered. We decided to hang around by the outside bar area because it was nice out. The bartenders who tended to us were super nice. They have $10 pitchers of beer and it's $5 when you bring back the pitcher or a refill. We decided to get one , however when I picked it up I noticed it was leaking. I told the bartender and she immediately have me a new pitcher plus two cups of extra beer which was awesome. My friend and I went inside to dance and the floor was beyond disgusting. Wet, sticky, beer everywhere. The worst part was when I finally went to use the bathroom, and I kid you not when I say it was the nastiest bathroom I have been in my entire life. It smelled like throwup and urine and the seats were covered in it. I could not believe how horrible it was...I literally went somewhere else to use the bathroom. I could not believe the people who work here would let it get like that. We wound up going back to the outside bar to hang out. At the end of the night my friends and I were pretty drunk. Before I left I wanted to get some water. They already stop serving alcoholic beverages at this point. The nice bartenders were gone and there was a man cleaning up behind the bar area ...I asked him for some water and he told me he didn't have any . I went inside to a different bar within the place and asked him the same thing and he said he didn't have any and that they "shut off" the gun. I told him I didn't believe him and went to another bar within the same place and asked for some water again. The guy told me the same thing and at this point I was fed up and started to ague with him. I told him I was going to drive home (even though I wasn't) and I needed to sober up. After going back and forth for ten minutes he grabs a cup ...filled it with ice ad from the gun out water into the cup . I was honestly amazed and shocked they would deny someone water. How is that even legal?! God forbid if I actually was going to drive home after that. Horrible. Bottom line, if your a group of college kids looking to have a good time and do not care about how clean a place is or want to get blackout wasted then you should go here. Otherwise I your above the age of 22 stay far away from this place. The only reason why I'm giving this two stars is because of the nice bartenders. The bathroom and the men denying me water really turned me off from this place.

This bar right on the main drag of daytona beach is all decked out in a racing theme. Average food , good beer prices, friendly bartenders. Not bad for a quick meal after laying on the beach. A decent variety of cold sandwiches, burgers, wings. I had some wings and and cold sandwich and both were decent, The wing sauce was outstanding, only drawback was they were out of drumsticks, whats up with that, they only had the flat pieces, i did complain and they gave me my order for free. I mean tell us that before we order. Anyhow i would go back.

As much of a fan of scummy dive bars in dilapidated cities that I am, I just can't get behind this place. From the outside it looks like a cheesy tourist trap with a large stock car plastered above then entrance. When you step in you see it's really a multi-bar venue with a few tables in the corner for those brave enough to eat here. Then it hits you. That sickly stench of day old beer on the floors. Take it in and accept it. Unfortunately the moment we stepped foot in here, a torrential downpour started. So here we were, stuck in one of the worst bars I've seen in a long time. Because it was 500 weekend, all the booze was at a premium price, I think I paid $5 for a bottle of Budweiser. Whatever, we were here to have a good time so it didn't matter. We tried to play a game of pool, but found out the 8 ball was missing after we put a dollar in the table. COOL. Needless to say once the rain let up, we hightailed it out of there. Never again, Crusin, never again.

All around a very very poor experience. 3 bar drinks were ordered and we didn't receive them for 15 minutes so one of us went to the bar and inquired. Then they were brought over, but they had evidently been sitting on the counter for a while and were all melted. Our food took well over 45 minutes and when we received it the food was cold and dry not hot juicy burgers like we had long anticipated. We requested a song at the dj booth as soon as we arrived at the restaurant and we were there over an hour and a half and we never heard our song. Our waitress was completely clueless and did a poor job all around, it even took her a 25 minutes to just take our order. It's too bad they had 17% automatic gratuity because she didn't deserve 5%. Normally I would not write such a harsh review but this was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I was a waitress so I know that it's not always easy but the restaurant was not busy in the slightest and there was no reason for us to wait so long with such poor service. I wouldn't recommend this to you unless you have no other option available and in that case you'd be better off eating hot pockets out of a microwave.

Waitress was very polite and helpful. Ordered a long island ice tea and what they gave me was a cup of sours. Waitress took it back and I witnessed the female bartender give her a mouthful. The second one tasked like a rum and coke. I just accepted it because I didn't want the waitress to have to deal with the rude bartender. First and last trip to this bar. They need to get ride of the old hateful woman that is tending bar she has no idea how to mix a drink correctly.

Definitely filthy. I wish I would have seen these reviews prior to eating here. Bathrooms were dirty, table was dirty, our order was wrong and the chips were stale. I'm surprised the health department allows this place to remain open. I can only hope now that we don't get food poisoning. Yuck!!!!! I wouldn't recommend this at all!!!!

This place is an absolute scam! Was visiting from out of town and figured this seemed like a legit place to enjoy a nice meal for dinner. You can't miss it, as it's on the corner of the main two streets on the strip downtown. Boy were we in for an unpleasant surprise. 1st of all, the waitress kept insisting we order the wings because "it's what that place is known for". We ordered 2 lbs of wings and it came in four 1/2 lb small red crates. So a half lb of wings in each crate. The wings were not really good @ all, as they came out with a harder texture then normal and were def. not fresh. They def. keep their wings frozen for a prolonged period of time. The waitress was very nice and flirty, as I'm still in my mid-late 20's and quite a flirt myself, so we got along great (not a surprise, as ALL waitresses are working for a bigger tip). She proceeded to get us all (I was just with my boy) drinks that included a mixed drink and a shot, "on the house". My boy and I got house liquor with juice for our mixed drink and when she went to tend to a different table, I tasted her drink to see what it was and it tasted awfully like Patron. When she came back, I had asked her what was in her drink and she had told me it was "some cheap stuff, nothing special". I asked if she was sure and she replied with "well, of course"! Sounding so sure and all. So my boy and I look @ eachotherlike "is this girl serious"?? She then gets us another round "on the house" and the same exact sequence basically repeated. She got herself a mixed drink with Patron, which I tasted when she walkedaway, and told us it was "some regular stuff". When we were done flirting and exchanged numbers, we told her to get the check, please, so she proceeded to do just that. I forgot to mention that after I had asked what was in her cup and she replied with regular cheap stuff and she saw my facial expression that appeared confused and not believing her, that was the start of her acting REAL weird. From that point on, she was acting weird, like something was up that she knew but we didn't, so that put up a big red flag and I was very skeptical. When we finally got the bill, I wanted to burst out in laughter. The 2 lbs wings that came in 4 small crates of 1/2 lb each, was charged on the receipt as 4 lbs. She tried to charge us 4lbs instead of 2. Not only that, all the "on the house" drinks she got for us were charged on the bill, and to top it all off, their was TWO charges of "Patron silver" @ 9 dollars each! THE DRINKS SHE BROUGHT TO DRINK HERSELF THAT WHEN QUESTIONED, SAID IT WAS REGULAR CHEAP STUFF, EVEN WHEN I REPEATEDLY ASKED HER IF SHE WAS SURE! Not only did she lie about what the drink was, she tried to charge us for her own drinks! WOW! It was a real red flag when she dropped off the bill on our table super quick, didn't look @ any of us in our eyes, and walked away immediately. When we told her EVERYTHING that was wrong with the bill, she acted all shocked and surprised those absurd extra charges ended up on the bill. YEAAAA, OOOKKKKAAAAYYYYYY! Couldn't even look @ us in the eye the WHOLE time LOL! It was absolutely hysterical the way she was acting, she deserved an Oscar nominee for her performance. After it took her nearly 20 minutes to get the manager or whoever to finally fix the bill , it was nearly $50 less than what she tried charging me with the initial bill. We honestly shouldn't of tipped her @ all, but she' s lucky we're classy, very nice gentlemen and tipped her $10. IF YOU'RE FROM OUT OF TOWN, AND IN THAT AREA THEY CAN TELL REAL QUICK, WATCH YOURSELF AND DON'T FALL VICTIM TO THIS OR A SIMILAR SCAM!

This place had potential to be great with karoeke, dj, racecar theme. The only good thing was the nachos appetizer and the bucket drinks. The service was slow and it wasnt that busy. The food was not tasty. We ordered tbone steaks that tasted like they were cooked with salt only and not on a grill. The waitress never came back about a side item inquiry on our order. For $22.95 price i expected a better steak. The only plus was the bubbly manager who got our refills and silverware when the waitress failed to do so. The karoke wasnt working properly and music sucked. The dj announces to everyone that they please take care if their bartenders and waitresses but bad service does not equal taking care.

The best beer selection I've ever run across in my travels around the country. If you appreciate a great beer this is the place to find it. I wish I lived in Daytona so that I could be a regular here. I didn't try the food. Just bar. But wow!

  • Evan G.

I call bullshit on the bad reviews. This bar has a special beer selection. It has a beer binder. Beer binder owns the beer menu. Mike crushed the picks. You've got awesome Belgium imports, amazing IPAs, exquisite Colorado ales and the "basics" that most beer drinkers will like. Try the Caramel Cream Ale. Amanda rocks! Good people. Enjoy!

You can't go wrong at Cruisin Cafe Bar and Grill. The food is good and the service is first class. It's a nice atmosphere and the kids love sitting in the old nascar booths. We had a great time and our waitress Abbi was exceptional, she was always there when we needed her. The restrooms needed some attention though. Will definitely return when back in Daytona.

Honestly, this restaurant is nasty. The food is ok. The waitresses are rude.. And we waited far too long for our change. A soft drink is 2.95 there.. If it wasn't that I was so hungry, I would have walked somewhere else. This place is not worth your time OR money.

We are tourist in Daytona beach, couldn't find a place not chain food t make everyone happy. This place seemed to solve all problems, plus it is a cool place for kids with the car tables. Dropped 85 for table of 5, typical for beach area, but fish sandwich was not good, fish was baked and mushy, burgers ok, onion rings crispy, but kind of mushy on inside. Crab cake not too tasty, ice tea tasty like water, unless looking for alcohol , best bet is Burger King

Cruisin Cafe has always been my go-to location when I am on Spring Break and need a lovely, big chested bartender to pour a pitcher of water on my friend for $5 when he least expects it. The drinks are strong, the ladies are social, the floor is sticky and you feel inches away from the Nascar action as you slowly decide it might be time to leave and play a few games at the nearby arcade. The food is pretty good too, so far I've had the gator tails and a few of the burgers and it's not half bad. They also have a pretty incredible beer selection that shouldn't be slept on. Really though, you should know what you are getting into when you come here. It is an experience, and not necessarily a classy one. Reading the other reviews makes me feel some of these people expected this to be something way different than it is, or have never had an ounce of fun in their lives. Cruisin', whether it likes it or not, is a spring break dive bar through and through, with a Nascar down south feel and plenty of history from the surrounding area. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to have fun, and would tell anyone who is a wet towel to go check out the Subway down the street. Not giving this five stars because the sticky floor ripped the sole of my shoe off last year and I really liked those shoes.

Service was excellent and the food very good and reasonably priced. It was offseason, so it was very slow. The owner greeted us as we walked in, chatted with us and made us special drinks since it was my birthday. He then turned us over to the sweetest waitress you'll ever meet. My blackened tuna sandwich was very good and perfectly cooked, the sweet potato fries were served with cinnamon butter which was very yummy. My wife also liked her buffalo chicken sandwich. The decor was awesome for race fans also!

Two stars only because my service was really great! Cool place nice location fully stocked bar. However, I didn't get the best hamburger. In fact, I didn't even get an ok hamburger. I got a 1/2 pound of greasy, grey dog meat on bread. I ordered the California burger a cheeseburger with onions, bell peppers, and salsa with let. tom. and onion. Sounds great, but the best tasting item between the bread was the ketchup I drowned it in to disguise the flavor. Obviously a pre-cooked patty with NO seasoning. Imagine an extra large McDonald's hamburger with more grease(possibly the best description for it). Stopping for drinks definitely but if u go for food don't walk RUN away!

Went to this joke of a restaurant during Daytona Bike Week 2013. Should have known better when we walked in at 6:00p.m. and the place was empty despite thousands of bikers right there on Main Street! This place is soooo freakin dirty, the tables are slanted (and no, I wasn't drinking), brown stains on the ceiling, chairs are dirty and just imagine what the kitchen must look like! The waitresses are skanks with bad attitudes! We hope the Board of Health shuts them down! DISGUSTING!!!

Just bar. But wow!

Very friendly bar staff and loved the atmosphere and food.. One of the coolest placed I could have stumbled across.

Honestly, this restaurant is nasty. The food is ok. The waitresses are rude.. And we waited far too long for our change. A soft drink is 2.95 there.. If it wasn't that I was so hungry, I would have walked somewhere else. This place is not worth your time OR money.

I go here every time I am in Daytona for cheap good food and it never disappoints me.

GROSS........ This place is simply dirty. The bathrooms were nasty with flies, dead bugs, 75% of toilets clogged and dirty counters. We made a quick exit before eating.
